We are very much looking forward to welcome all presenters, online or in-person, to the Music & Eye-tracking conference! Because our goal is to have a smooth and integrated hybrid meeting, there are a variety of important considerations with respect to presentation hardware, software, and timing. As such, we ask for your understanding of and adherence to the requirements below.
Please double check the type of presentation for which your abstract was accepted and consult the relevant section below.
All requested files (details below) should be uploaded to this folder by June 27th.
TALKS (EVERYONE)
Your talk should be 18 min in length.
There will be a discussion period of 7 min after each presentation.
All talks will remain online until July 17th, after which they will be deleted.
IF YOUR TALK IS IN-PERSON:
For simplicity, all presentations will be given on a laptop provided by us. Please prepare a ppt/pptx with all media files embedded and make sure that you upload this presentation to the conference laptop the morning of your presentation or during a break before your session. Alternatively, upload your presentation at the above link (deadline June 27th), with the file name inperson_talk_[your_last_name].ppt.
IF YOUR TALK IS VIRTUAL:
You will need to upload a video of your talk in advance (deadline June 27th). Use link at top of page.
We will play your video live during the conference and will also make it available online until July 17th, after which point it will be deleted.
Video format requirements:
- Maximum 18-min in duration
- mp4 format (MPEG-4 / .m4v / H.254 / H.265)
- FullHD dimensions (1920x1080 pixel a.k.a. 1080p)
- framerate of 25, 29.97 or 30 fps (frames per second)
- presentations and videos should be widescreen (16:9). Please do not submit vertical videos (TikTok-style).
- File size not larger than 500 MB. If your video files are too big, try to recompress them using handbrake.fr with the default settings. If that gives unsatisfactory results, contact us.
- File name: talk_[your last name]_[title keyword(s)].mp4, e.g. ‘talk_Fink_mobileETpianists.mp4’
If you use Zoom to record your talk please make sure that:
- you record locally (NOT in the cloud / online – this will result in terrible quality)
- in the Zoom settings, under “Recording,” you have checked the "optimise for third party video editors" box.
POSTERS (EVERYONE)
All poster presenters should prepare in advance (i) a 3-minute video summarizing their poster (“poster-blitz”: including intro, methods, results, conclusion), and (ii) a pdf of the poster. Both need to be uploaded by June 27th (see requirements below; upload using link at the top of this page).
Regardless of whether attendance is-person or virtual, all poster blitz videos will be played live during the conference. All materials will remain online until July 17th, after which they will be deleted.
